Do not announce internal-only capabilities

Use this when CS sees an internal release note and wants to mention it to a customer.

Rule

A feature is customer-announceable only when product/CS confirms it is visible, enabled, and supported for that customer.

Common risky categories

• Feature-flagged work.
• Internal-only ActiveAdmin controls.
• Experimental IVR or voice capabilities.
• Device farm or infrastructure features.
• Partial localization.
• Integrations that require customer-specific provisioning.

Steps

1. Check whether the release note says the feature is hidden behind a flag.
2. Check whether ActiveAdmin shows customer-visible access.
3. If access is unclear, escalate before telling the customer.
4. Use cautious language until confirmed.

Avoid:

That feature shipped, so you should have it now.
